Ronaldo confirms he is coming out of retirement

Former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star Ronaldo, has confirmed that he is coming out of retirement, to play for Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

The Brazilian who is now 38, hung up his boots in 2011, but became a major shareholder in the NASL, which is the USA’s second tier – although there is no promotion or relegation in US football.

Ronaldo has now announced he is returning to the pitch after four years.

“It’s going to happen,” Ronaldo told Lance!

“I have already said so. But it’s going to be a bit later, in the playoffs.”

The former FIFA World Player of the Year, is currently undergoing a gruelling work-out regime to get in shape.

“For now, we are organising it all, but I am going to have a [weight] goal,” he added.
