Two people, a welder and another staff of the Bauchi State water board were on Tuesday killed during a fire outbreak at Misau local government area of the state.
Reports say the fire started while the welder was working on a leaking oil tank.
The fire reportedly razed a section of the water board building.
Eyewitnesses say both victims died instantly while several others sustained injuries.
Sources say the victims were quickly conveyed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Azare but later referred to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital (ATBTH), Bauchi due to the extend of their injuries.
Yerima Abdu, a residents of Misau called on the government to help the town in establishing a fully functional fire service so as to effectively combat such fire incidents.
