The Nigerian Muslim community is mourning the loss of its most prominent leaders – the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Abdulazeez Arisekola Alao.
Alhaji Arisekola Alao was the deputy head of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and was based in Ibadan, Oyo state.
He was 69-years-old at the time of his death.
According to family sources, the Are Musulumi of Yorubaland died abroad, his death was confirmed to newsmen by his eldest daughter, Khadija.
