Sad: This is what remains of the school where hundreds of girls were abducted (See Photos)

Chibok

by Akan Ido

Borno State governor, Kashim Shettima earlier today paid a visit to the schools where over 200 girls were abducted by men suspected to be members of the Boko Haram Islamic sect.

The Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok appeared razed by fire with practically nothing standing in what used to be the school dormitory.

Over 190 girls are still missing from the school according to the principal of the school and parents.

Leading lights like former Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili have called on the Federal Government to rescue the girls who many believe run the risk of being abused as sex slaves by Boko Haram militants.

We continue to pray for their safe return.

  1. How come this school was in session when the Borno state government told the world months ago that they were shutting down schools? Is it not possible that this is another orchestrated attempt to buy cheap sympathy from a gullible Nigeria public?
