Sanders will vote for Hillary to keep Trump out of the White House

US Senator and Democratic party presidential aspirant, Bernie Sanders has disclosed that he will vote for his main rival, Hilary Clinton, in November’s presidential election just to keep Republican candidate, Donald Trump out of the White House.

Sanders has all but lost the challenge for the ticket of the Democratic party – as earlier this month, Hilary was confirmed the presumptive nominee.

While speaking to MSNBC, Sanders said he would do anything in his power to defeat Donald Trump of the Republican party.

He however, did not say he would give up on his campaign to support Hilary but in the event that she wins the nomination in July, he would vote for her.

He said his job now was to “fight for the strongest possible platform” at the party’s convention in July, including a higher minimum wage.

He dismissed the idea of withdrawing from the race saying, “Why would I want to do that when I want to fight to make sure that we have the best platform that we possibly can, that we win the most delegates that we can.”

Even though Sanders will not be withdrawing from the race, his acceptance of the likelihood of Hilary winning the nomination reflects the reality of his situation.

He also admitted that it was unlikely that he would be the Democratic party nominee.
