Apparently, “eccentric multi-millionaire and Businessman, Micheal Prest gave out the hand of his dear sister,Ms Shona Prest, out in marriage yesterday in his garden at the back of his Osbourne Foreshore, Ikoyi, Lagos home” this month.

But, according to the good people at FashionableLagos, that was not the highlight of the event. The honours went to a Distinguished Senator, and matriarch (what would we do without that word?} of the Danjuma household, Daisy Danjuma.

The Senator stepped daintily into the gathering with a “$72,000 Hermes Handbag” that “was the topic of side-talks amongst the ladies at the event.”

In which case, congratulations are in order for the couple – and for Her Excellency. The bag below:
