Real life love-scammer (with female disguise) exposed in Ajegunle

A man has been arrested for taking advantage of his fellow men by dressing like a woman and swindling them of their money.

Joseph Offor, the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson revealed details of the arrest on Monday, November 16.

According to Offor, the suspect was arrested on Saturday at about 4:30pm in the process of scamming another unsuspecting victim.

The suspect, whose phony name was Kadijat, was clad in a Muslim hijab when s(he) encountered one Hassimu of No. 25, Iyana street, Ajegunle with whom she agreed to a relationship.

Kadijat refuted all of Hassimu’s attempt to take “her” home with various excuses which somehow led to a scuffle between both of them that caught some policemen’s attention.

Mr. Offor said, “While they were dragging themselves at the CMS Bus Stop, policemen from Lion Building, who were on patrol, saw them and intervened.

“They were taken to the police station for causing breach of public peace.

“At the station, Hassimu alleged that the suspect had collected about N15,000 from him with a promise to marry him.

“Hassimu was shocked to hear the confession of the suspect that he is a man disguised in women’s outfit to defraud men.

“The suspect confessed that he had been into the business for about two years and that he had defrauded many men in Lagos of unspecified amount of money.

“The suspect claimed that his real name is Hussieni Biyaya from Teke town in Kano State.”

Biyaya would be charged to court on a charge of impersonating women with the intent to defraud men.
