This is the schedule INEC released for Edo and Ondo elections

As the governorship elections of sister sister states, Ondo and Edo draw near, the Independent National Electoral Commission has released the timetable for the forthcoming polls.

For Edo state, governorship election is slated for September 10 while Ondo state would have November 26.

The electoral body fixed June 12 for the beginning of campaigns by political parties in Edo state even as party primaries will hold between July 2 and 4.

While August 11 would be for the  publication of the voter registers for the election, the submission of names of party agents as slated for August 27 even as September 8 is the last day for governorship campaigns in Edo state.

For Ondo state, August 28 would see the commencement of campaigns by political parties while August 22-26 would be for the collection of forms by political parties at INEC headquarters, Abuja.

Party primaries, and the resolution of disputes arising from the primaries, would hold between September 18 and 19 while the publication of the official voter register for the election would be on October 27.

The submission of the names of party agents for the election is slated for November 19 and the last day for campaigns for the governorship election, is Thursday, November 24.
