Ladies, you should see this new model selfie stick… it’s fascinating

What you see above is a woman holding a selfie stick in the shape of a gray human arm. The selfie arm, as its being called, is a fiberglass prototype meant to solve the ridiculous problem of not wanting to look alone while taking selfies, Designboom reports.

Artists and creators of the selfie arm Justin Crowe and Aric Snee are “fascinated by the idea of technology and its illusionary ‘connectedness’ and ‘sociableness,'” according to Crowe’s site.

So while you’re creating “the appearance of having a companion” in your selfies, it is one with lifeless gray coloring and boring plain sleeves because social media and the Internet are turning us into friendless robot monsters basically.

Designboom also reports that the prototype is capable of taking photos on all kinds of phones, so there’s no need to worry about being excluded from this development when it does become a reality. Also, there’s no word on if/when it will become a reality.
