Senators may insist on screening Buhari… and other things to expect tomorrow

The Senate is expected to read-out the ministerial list sent by President Muhammadu Buhari, during plenary session on Tuesday.

It is believed that the Senators may insist that the President must also submit himself before the National Assembly for screening, if he appoints himself as Minister of Petroleum.

The Senators are reportedly set to resist and oppose Buhari’s ministerial list, if it turns out to be incomplete and does not cover the 36 states of the Federation.

Also the Senate appears determined not be influenced by the ongoing trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal- during the screening of ministerial nominees.

The usual practice of take-a-bow for ministerial nominees being screened, may also not happen during plenary session on Tuesday.
