A murder investigation has been launched after a man died when he allegedly took part in a kinky sex game involving cling film.
Two men aged 21 and 34 were arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of the victim’s body in a flat in Dover, Kent, on Tuesday morning.
The victim, who has not been named, was believed to have been in his 40s.
Kent Police refused to comment on the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
Another source tweeted: ‘Three men participating in a sex game ended with one being cling-filmed to death due to asphyxiation.’
A source told the Dover Express newspaper: ‘This is a weird one. It appears that the victim was wrapped in cling film as part of some sort of sex game and it all went badly wrong.’
A police spokesman said a postmortem had been carried out but the results had not been released.
He added: ‘The circumstances of the victim’s death form the basis of our investigation and as such it would be inappropriate to comment at this stage.’
The two arrested men were released on police bail until November 7 pending further enquiries.
Forensics officers carried out a detailed investigation of the flat above a hairdresser’s shop in East Street.
