President Buhari has appointed David Lawal, as the new Secretary to the Federal Government.
The appointment was made public on Thursday, August 27, by Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina.
Below are 7 key things to know about David Lawal;
1. Lawal is a pastor, who hails from Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State.
2. He graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1979 with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
3. Lawal has worked with the Delta Steel Company, Aladja, Nigerian External Telecommunications Limited and Data Sciences Limited.
4. He established his ICT and Telecommunications consulting firm in 1990.
5. The new SGF is a member of the Nigeria Computer Society, the Nigeria Society of Engineers and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.
6. He is the national vice-chairman, north-east of the APC and is one of the closest associates of the president.
7. Lawal was active in the presidential campaign, as he mobilised support for Buhari in the north-east especially in Adamawa State.
