After getting into a series of odd mix-ups, Chris Brown has dumped Instagram.  The artist was recently attacked by fans for comparing himself to Jesus, which is a no-no among African American music fans.

The comments came as Brown was responding to a recent nasty run-in with Frank Ocean earlier this week.  After the commotion had settled, Brown uploaded a picture of himself with a picture of Jesus on the cross.

“Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters!” Brown said, irritating many of his followers.

Brown was attacked after the incident by his millions of followers, which led him to announce that he would no longer make himself available to anyone.

“Social media takes away the essence of why we are even special or icons. So with that, I’m detaching myself from that world.”

This is the second time that Brown has cut himself out of a major social media network.  Late last year, Brown cut off his Twitter account right after getting into a fight with a female comedian.
