When he’s not destroying people’s dreams with the harsh truth, Simon Cowell is swooning young women across the world. The British-born music executive and television producer, has an estimated net worth of  $320 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth.com.

Although he is a godfather to his artist Sinitta’s children, 53-year-old Cowell has never been married and does not have any children. A number of rumors have surfaced that he is gay. In an interview on Monday with Radio Times, the TV star and respectable business man addressed his sεxual orientation, his life as a bachelor, and whether or not he plans to find a bride anytime soon. Read excerpts from the interview below:

On being asked when he will be “coming out”:

…I work in possibly the gayest industry in the world! Music and TV! It would make no difference to my life or my career. A lot of my friends are gay, but I’m not and don’t even think that way any more. I couldn’t care less (if people think I’m gay) because it’s nothing to be ashamed of. It feels like such an antiquated question now.

On seeking a bride:

I’m happy single… I tend to be in a relationship more than being single. Terri (Seymour) lasted six years, Mezhgan (Hussainy) lasted two years, and that was in a nine-year block, so I was only single for about a year out of those nine years.  But I’m very good on my own, a) because I never get bored and b) because there is always something I need to catch up on.

On previous relationships:

I break up very well. I am a good breaker-upper.

On hiring attractive women to work with him that he fancies:

A lot of them, yes, I’m not going to lie.
