You goofed here, dear friends at CNN.
The news channels got it all wrong last night while running a story concerning the spread of Ebola in Western Africa including Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia,.
In the report, CNN claimed there are 1,603 cases, 887 deaths and 55% fatality rate – however, while highlighting the countries affected, they accidentally highlighted Niger for Nigeria.
Of course, the error is trending on the social moment at the moment.
A Nigerian, Taiwo Odusote tweeted “Apparently, CNN doesn’t know where Nigeria is” while another user, Temi Ige wrote “Yeah, so CNN doesn’t know where Nigeria is…that’s actually really worrying”
A non-Nigerian with the twitter handle @_umazi also said “CNN, that’s not Nigeria with the red, correct the map, reminds me of the time CNN mistakenly labeled Brazil as Hong Kong”
See snapshots below:
So disrespectful. I understand that you’re not to know where every country in the world is, but all they had to do was google it!
