A billboard for a coffee advert in Washington is causing commotion due to the half-clad model showcased on it.

The advert shows a woman wearing a tiny bikini showing off her backside and the sides of her breasts.

Conservative residents have criticized the ad, calling it inappropriate.

The baristas at the coffee shop wear nothing, but — critics say — at least they are indoors. Howe is concerned that the woman on the sign is right outside in the open where anyone, including children, can see.

And she isn’t alone.

“It’s not something I’d want my daughter to see if I brought her with me,” Kandace Holquist, who works at a nearby restaurant, told KREM.

Another worker in the area, Miguel Hernandez, explained to the CBS affiliate that he was also concerned about the message the sign would send to children.

“I thought it was funny for a minute, but the second after that it was kind of like — kids (will be) driving by and looking at stuff,” he said.

The woman on the advertisements, model Amanda Bennett, disagrees and says passersby will see nothing more graphic than what they’d be exposed to at a beach.

The sign was not up on Tuesday because it violated a size ordinance, not because of any complaints. view full article

The owner of 2nd Base Espresso also runs Big Shots Espresso on Division in nearby Spokane and has been displaying the traveling sign outside both, according to KHQ.
