Soldiers did not threaten to shoot officers in Bama – Army

The Nigerian Army on Friday dismissed a report that soldiers of 21 Brigade in Bama turned against officers and threatened to shoot them.

There had been reports that the soldiers shot indiscriminately, claiming that the officers were lying to them.

But the General Officer Commanding, 7 Division of the army, Brig.-Gen. Victor Ezegwu, denied the report in Maiduguri.

He said, “I want to assure that nothing like mutiny happened in Bama. Nothing happen. I just came back from Bama and nothing like that happened.”
