Penelope Cruz is rumoured to be pregnant with her second child at 38-year-old.

The actress married to actor Javier Bardem, 43, already have a son Leonardo, two.

Cruz who dated Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaughey started going out with Bardem in 2007 and gave birth their first child in January 2011, six months after the pair married in a low-key ceremony in the Caribbean with only a few relatives present.

Cruz and Bardem first met more than 20 years ago on the set of her debut film, the Spanish comedy drama Jamon Jamon, when the actress was 18.

In an interview with Vogue in June 2011, Cruz described motherhood as a revolutionary experience. “That’s the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment, when you see that face, you are transformed forever,” she said.

If confirmed, the Cruz family will be expecting two babies – just last month Penelope’s sister, Monica, 35, announced she is expecting a baby via an anonymous sperm donor.

Her sister who is an agent provocateur model will likely give birth just a few months ahead of Cruz.  Monica who is single at the moment revealed her baby news in a blog for Spanish newspaper El Pais, writing: ‘I’m going to be a mother! I have managed to fulfill the dream of a lifetime. Because of that, I want to share with all of you this special journey and be able to tell you about all of my experiences during this fascinating time,’ Monica said.
