The long awaited London Olympics was declared open yesterday by Queen Elizabeth. Billions of spectators watched the ceremony worldwide and the organizers wasted no time in showcasing what the the city of London has to offer.

The opening ceremony was a celebration of royalty, history, culture, tradition, colours, art, pride, honour and the will of a people to succeed in the face of challenges.
