Stella Oduah holds requiem mass for late son

The Oduah family on Monday held a requiem mass for Chinedu the late son of Princess Stella Adaeze Oduah who died at the age of 28 on Friday in Abuja.

The mass which held at the Akili Ozizor, country home of the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial Zone, witnessed a large turn out as family, friends, dignitaries and sympathisers were on ground.

The mass was presided by the Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Reverend Valerian Okeke alongside four other priests.

Archbishop Okeke condoled with the Oduah family on Chinedu’s death urging them not to mourn as people without faith.

The archbishop said it is not the length of days that matters but the quality of life lived by the departed.

Some of the dignitaries present at the mass were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation in the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, Anambra State PDP chairman, Chief Ken Emeakayi, former Onitsha South Local government Chairman, Chief Ejidike.

Others include, the Chief of Staff, Princess Stella Oduah Foundation, Princess Nwaka Ononuju, Director of Stella Oduah Campaign Organisation, Chief Pandola Okwuosa, Archbishop Valerian Okeke, Very Rev Fr Theo Odukwe, the Parish Priest in charge of Sacred Heart Parish, Onitsha, Fr Donald Uzoh, amongst others.

Another priest who spoke at the mass, the Episcopal Vicar of Dunukofia Region, Onitsha Archdiocese, Very Rev Fr Theophilus Odukwe likened the death of Chinedu to that of the Biblical John the Baptist whose life was cut short at a young age, a situation which he said faith had ordained.
