The story in photos from Tinubu’s meeting with NLC leaders today

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress on Friday afternoon, held a meeting with the leaders of the Trade Union Congress and the National Labour Congress.

The purpose of the meeting was for Tinubu to attempt to broker/negotiate for peace between Labour and the federal government over the protests of pump price increase to N145 per litre.

Wearing none of his trademark grin, Tinubu appeared stern, serious and perhaps worried.

The Labour leaders on the other hand, were a bit less excited as they were during the meetings with the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The photos from the meeting, tell their own story.

In 6-12 months, the pump price of fuel would reduce to somewhere around the region of its former price, and in the long run, much lower.

You have to make the workers understand that this subsidy removal is absolutely necessary

Subsidy removal is the right thing to do. It's a sacrifice we must make.
