Suleiman Abba passes the baton to new Police chief (LOOK)

The dismissed Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba CFR (rtd) has stepped down at the helm of Nigerian Police Force for Acting IGP Solomon Arase, to assume responsibility.

Abba was sacked by President Jonathan on Tuesday, April 21, who immediately appointed Arase as his replacement.

Abba was the 17th Indigenous Inspector-General of Police and who formally took over from former Police boss,IGP MD Abubakar (Rtd) on August 1, 2014.

Arase’s appointment makes him the 18th indigenous Inspector-General of Police.
