The New York campaign office of Democratic candidate in the forthcoming US Presidential elections, Hillary Clinton has received an envelope containing a white powdery substance.

New York Police Department Lieutenant Thomas Antonetti said the package was first delivered to her Manhattan office before being transferred to her Brooklyn office.

“The preliminary investigation determined that it was negative in terms of containing a hazardous substance,” he added

Antonetti also said the envelope contained a note which he said was not a death threat.

“We’re trying to determine what the substance was. For right now, we can at least rule out any poisonous or deadly nature of the substance,” Antonetti said.
