Who runs the world? Moms!
Today marks another Mother’s Day celebration for honoring mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in the society.
Our celebrities, the female ones in particular, have taken to their various Instagram pages to shower accolades on their mums.
Actress Mercy Aigbe began the #HappyMothersDay trend by sharing a photo collage of her kids with the caption: “Who runs the world? MOMS! Lord am grateful and so blessed to be called a Mother! Happy Mother’s Day to myself and all the mothers out there! May The Lord continue to strengthen us! “
Singer, 9ice’s estranged wife, Toni Payne wrote “Happy Mother’s Day to all the awesome women in my family, and to all the wonderful mothers worldwide. Xoxo”
Former actress, Caroline Danjuma on the other hand, showed off her growing baby bump and kids and prayed for barren women thus: “Exceptionally blessed. May God visit every barren woman today, and may testimonies fill the mouth of the mother’s of the missing chibok girls today. He is an awesome God. Nothing is too difficult for him.”
Yoruba movie star, Iyabo Ojo also shared a photo of her two kids and showed off her mother.
“Happy Mother’s Day to me n to all d beautiful mama’s out there who takes very gud care of there kids n plsssssssssssss #bringourgirls plss…Happy mothers day sweet mama, ur prayers n morning kisses keeps me going, ur words of encouragement Keeps me strong# I love u mum# no child shld ever be separated from there mama plssssssss #bringbackourgirls,” she wrote.
Another actress, Toyin Aimakhu also shared a photo of her middle aged mother and wrote “Happy mother’s day to the best mum Iya ular as we call u,woman of God, tnx for showing us the way and the true way ..love u so much mum and will always do..”
