43-year-old married Harri Williams has been jailed for 18 months over their secret love affair with his 16-year-old student which even involved him having sex in the car.

Part of their taboo affair included trips to London Eye-style big  wheel in Liverpool city centre, trips to ten pin bowling alleys, the cinema and for romantic  meals.

The married father-of-two, a business studies teacher released an apologetic statement recently. “There are no excuses. I crossed the line. In the cold light of day, I knew what  I was doing. I was old enough to be her father. I will fall on my sword. I will  be struck off,” he said.

Williams has since been suspended as  head of his department at a secondary school where he has taught for 18 months  even though the girl insited that he did not force her and their relationship made her a excitement.

According to reports, Williams pleaded guilty to seven counts of sexual activity with a child while in  a position of authority at Liverpool Crown Court,  and one count of inciting sexual activity.
