Terrorism: Panic as twin explosions hit Borno

Another set of violence hit Maiduguri, the capital of Borno this evening as terrirists believed to be members of the Boko Haram Islamic sect attacked residents.

This is coming days after gunmen attacked the Federal Government College in Yobe State killing about fifty students of the school.

Reports say the Maiduguri double explosions which hit the Ngomari area of the state caused panic with many people running for their dear lives.

The blasts were said to have set off heavy dust and smoke in the area. Though no casualty figure has been given, the incident reportedly triggered panic, as residents were seen scampering for safety.

This attack is coming just days after the terrorists raided Federal Government College in Buni Yadi, Yobe State and some villages in Adamawa State.

The attack on the college, which has attracted condemnation both in Nigeria and abroad, left 59 students dead.
