Microsoft, will be launching an employment portal for Nigerian youth at the 2013 edition of The Future Awards Africa. The project is a partnership between The Future Enterprise Support Scheme (TFESS) and Microsoft as part of its ongoing 4Afrika initiative.

Managing Director of The Future Project, Chude Jideonwo, on Saturday joined the Channels Television breakfast show, Sunrise, to discuss the project.

“People talk about Africa Rising and our demographic surplus and all these buzzwords about how 70% of our population is under 70,” he said.

“It’s a blessing but it’s also a crisis in the making because what you have is a situation where  large percentage of those people are not employed, some are not employable. so part of the things we’re launching at The Future Awards this year is a partnership with Microsoft, to create an employment portal for young people using the future awards as a springboard.”
