EFCC vs Omisore

The Economic and Financial Crime’s Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday declared the former Deputy Governor of Osun states, Senator Iyiola Omisore, wanted in connection to N700 million fraud.

However, Omisore, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has denied the allegation, saying that the EFCC was being used as a tool to persecute opposition members.

Will the EFCC arrest and detain Omisore? We are monitoring this story.

The trial of Alex Badeh

Alex Badeh, a former Chief of Air Staff, is currently facing criminal prosecution for his role in the $2.1 billion arms scandal. Several embarrassing testimonies have been made by prosecution witnesses.

Fayose’s anti-Fulani herdsmen comment

The Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Monday, banned Fulani herdsmen from operating in his state. The Governor also called on hunters in the state to use what ever means possible to protect their communities.

Babatunde Fashola and amnesia

The former Lagos state Governor, now Minister of Power, Housing and Works, Babatunde Fashola, on Tuesday, denied that he ever promised to deliver stable electricity to Nigerians within six months.

This comment by Fashola has drawn the ire of the public and many reactions are expected today.

Diamond and Sterling Bank

The battle line has been drawn between two of Nigeria’s foremost financial institutions -Diamond Bank and Sterling Bank.

The CEO of Diamond Bank, Uzoma Dozie, took to social media platform twitter to reply Sterling Bank’s earlier taunts.
