Tongues continue to wag at the image of Hollywood filmmaker, Tyler Perry laying hands on popular bishop of the Potter’s House Church, T. D Jakes.

Bishop Jakes had last weekend brought his MegaFest inspirational event to Dallas which included various events featuring Oprah Winfrey, Steve Harvey and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, to name a few.

One of the many highlights and continues talking point was Tyler Perry’s laying of hands on the bishop and subsequent announcement of a $1 million donation towards the influential spiritual leader’s developing youth center.

Even Bishop Jakes appeared to have been caught by surprise as he later tweeted about the incident saying he “can’t even explain what happened….”

What do you think about Perry’s laying of hands which many have referred to has the $1 million anointing? Is it out of the ordinary or critics have just been making a mountain out of a mole-hill? Let’s have your say.

  3. I think u just want to use dis medium to mock TD jakes and other men of God. U should get this into ur dummy brain, God can even use stone to minister to anyone. His ways re not our ways

  4. This is holy ground. Awesome. Tears came to my eyes watching this. Awesome. You posted this to mock God and His house, but God used it to bless me and will bless many more. Thank you.

  5. There is nothing unusual with what happened there. Afterall, Saul, in the Bible, who wasn’t a prophet, prophesied, when was in the midst of some prophets. And that got people thinking and asking if he was a prophet. So, God uses people to bless and minister to his church the way he chooses. God may have just used the film-maker to increase the anointing upon his servant’s life, Bishop Jakes. The film-maker may not have been an ordained minister of the Gospel; may not have qualified to lay his hands on the Bishop; but, by virtue of the fact that he was where God’s people were, he spirit was fired up by the Holy Spirit and that gave him utterance. He may have been led by the unseen power of God. So, based on my knowledge of the word of God, nothing is wrong with it; because the laying of hands could have been done without the said donation.
