Events are now an art this side of the world – and it was to draw attention to this, as well as the incredibly planning and work that goes into many of them, that Go2Gurl Limited organised The Nigeria Event Awards at The Grandeur event centre, Billingsway, Ikeja on Sunday 8 May, 2011.

Guests were welcomed by ‘greeters’ in beautiful black-with-gold-embroidery designed tunics, and then directed to the green carpet. Then to the bouncers, then into the hall by the beautiful ushers in their orange mono-strap dresses.

Like the best of the event planners they sought to reward, the organisers paid attention to every little detail – down to each table having a menu list to pick from and a waiter to a table. It was a fine evening of music, comedy and fashion.

Congratulations also to our sister brand, The Future Awards, for claiming the grand award for Event of the Year!
