The Love|Life|Music project launches the Volunteer Corporation

by Ifreke Inyang

The Love|Life|Music project is calling out for volunteers. These volunteers will be required for the kick-off phase of its project the #LLM Volunteer Corporation. “This is a first of its kind system that employs the engagement of highly skilled and interested volunteers to manage specific activities of the project in much the same way a corporation would execute a business agenda,” Kayode Nubi, LLM Project coordinator, said.

“This is an innovative trend in charitable and community development work, and the Love|Life|Music project is pioneering its use for optimal success in their efforts. The #LLM Volunteer Corporation’s use of corporate business-like systems in development activities is sure to generate a lot of interest amongst a hitherto-untapped audience for development work- highly skilled young people and engaged high net worth individuals and organisations.  It promises to be a trend to watch,” Nubi continued

The Love|Life|Music project seeks to help create change in a fragmented society in a way that is sustainable and largely independent of grants and aid. It involves a series of activities targeted at expression, perception and participation for social change. The arts have a special place in the Love|Life|Music project and Kayode added: “It catches the enthusiasm of the youth directed towards the expression of thoughts and feelings on what is current, what can be changed and how it can be changed.” Volunteers can sign up at http://bit.ly/llmvcorporation

Speaking on what would be the V-Corp’s maiden project, the charitable education feature tagged “A Beautiful Mess”, the other member of the team, Ahmed Adeyanju explains that this is targeted to help address the Millennium Development Goals of “achieving universal primary education” and that of “Developing a global partnership for development. Our immediate deliverables will focus on raising funding to purchase art materials to teach Maths, English, Science and Art in Public Primary Schools and ensure the project’s sustainability”

A Beautiful Mess will take place at the inaugural #LLMCafe later this month and is powered by Y! More information on the project is available on www.lovelifemusic.org and their Facebook <http://on.fb.me/fbvcorp> and Twitter <http://twitter.com/lovelifemusic_>
