Crystal Harris left Hugh Hefner brokenhearted last year when she called off their nuptials five days before the big day.
“The wedding is off. Crystal has had a change of heart,” Hefner tweeted on June 14, 2011.
But now, after rekindling their romance in June 2012, Harris, 26, and Hefner, 86, are set to tie the knot on New Year’s Eve and have officially obtained their marriage license.
Still, Hef must have been devastated when his wife-to-be became a runaway bride.
Here are 12 other celebrities who were left at the altar:
Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris
Playboy playmate Crystal Harris and Hugh Hefner were set to wed in June 2011, but Harris — who is more than half a century younger than Hefner — called off the nuptials just a few days before their wedding at the Playboy Mansion. The couple ended their relationship completely after the broken engagement. BUT, a year later they rekindled their romance and are set to wed on New Year’s Eve 2012.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez
Ah,”Bennifer.” They proved opposites really do attract when Affleck proposed to Lopez with a $1.2 million, 6.1 carat pink diamond. They set the wedding date for Sept. 14, 2003. Sadly though, they postponed the wedding just days before they were set to walk down the aisle. It was never rescheduled.
Kiefer Sutherland and Julia Roberts
In 1991, Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland’s Hollywood wedding was set to take place at 20th Century Fox’s Soundstage 14. But it never happened. Roberts shocked the world when she broke up with Sutherland just three days before the ceremony and ran off with his best friend, actor Jason Patric. Friends said Sutherland was “shocked” by the split, but more than a decade later, he said, “I commend Julia for seeing how young and silly we were, even as painful and difficult as it was.”
Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow
They met in 1995 on the set of “Seven,” but Pitt and Paltrow’s beloved Hollywood romance ended on June 16, 1997. Pitt proposed in Dec. 1996, Paltrow said yes, and they were reportedly set to marry in East Hampton, N.Y. in the summer of ’97. Of course, that never happened!
Carson Daly and Tara Reid

Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood
Manson and Wood got together in 2006, but later split in 2008.
They then rekindled their romance a year later and Manson proposed while on stage at a Paris concert in Jan. 2010. Eight months later, the engagement was called off.
Alec Baldwin and Janine Turner
Alec Baldwin and Janine Turner were engaged in 1983, when they were both in their 20s and struggling to break out into show business. When the wedding was all set to go off, Baldwin broke the engagement off and Turner was devastated. “When I met Alec, I was 20. We got engaged. It was rushed, and it didn’t work,” she has said.
Jude Law and Sienna Miller
After dating for two years, Miller called off their engagement in July 2005 after Law confessed to having an affair with his kids’ nanny. They rekindled their romance in Dec. 2009, but split again in Feb. 2011.
