2015 witnessed the rise of the all male YBNL empire with signees such as Lil Kesh and Adekunle Gold making strong statements of intent, in the music industry.

However, the possibility of a female act getting signed to the male dominated label, has been raised more frequently in recent interviews.

In a sit-down with Hip TV, the label’s CEO/rapper Olamide addressed the issue as he said signing a female act is quite risky due to their ‘short industry life span’.

He however, said if he was going to sign a female artist, she’d have to possess 3 times the hunger he has.
