There are now more than 2,000 billionaires in the world

For the first time ever there are now more than 2,000 billionaires in the world (2,089 to be precise).
According to the 2015 Hurun Global Rich List, India has for the first time surpassed Britain and Russia in terms of the number of residents with at least $1,000,000,000 (£656 million) in the bank.

The list also revealed that Microsoft founder Bill Gates is still the richest human alive, with a reported wealth of $85 billion, with Mexico’s Carlos Slim Helu a close second with $83 billion.

Out of the 2,089 billionaires, 40 of them under the age of forty, with 30-year-old Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, coming in as the seventh richest man in the world.Snapchat founders Evan Spiegel, 24, and Bobby Murphy, 26, were also among the youngest billionaires on the list.Only 279 women made the list, while the USA and China, made up a chunk of the billionaires on the list.
