These are the 9 people who will be contesting for the Presidency with Buhari and Jonathan

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has released the list of the 11 candidates contesting for the 2015 Presidential election.

Besides the front-runners, President Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadi Buhari, there are 8 other challengers, including a woman, Professor Comfort Oluremi Sonaiya.

On February 14, 2015, one of the following candidates and their running mate will win the presidential election.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

General Muhammadu Buhari

 

Kowa Party

Prof. Comfort Oluremi Sonaiya

 

Hope Democratic Party

Ambrose Albert

 

Allied Congress Party of Nigeria

The submission of the names to INEC closed on December 25 and Nigerians have been given 7 days to raise any objection on the particulars of the candidates.

The list of candidates and their credentials are pasted on a container kiosk at the FCT office of INEC in Abuja for claims and objections.

The Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Mr. Kayode Robert Idowu, said: “We have complied with the law; we have published the list of all the presidential candidates in all the states of the Federation. For other elective offices, the lists will be published in their constituencies and senatorial districts as applicable.”
