Nigeria has been taking a beating from the foreign media- CNBC, The Economist, New York Times, to mention a few. As if to distract from this unwholesome international attention which carried headlines such as The Case of Nigeria’s Missing president: Nigeria’s economy is in crisis. But President Muhammadu Buhari is not even in the country; Nigeria’s Economy Looks as Sick as Its Missing and Ailing Leader, a report released by the Guardian UK said that former president Goodluck Jonathan rejected British offer to rescue the Chibok girls.
Goodluck Jonathan has since denied the report. Twitter NG cares less about the ex-president’s denials, having already crucified him at the stake.
In the midst of the brouhaha, there’s a lone voice with an unpopular opinion. @beegeaglesblog says its all bollocks; the British couldn’t have rescued the Chibok girls and Buhari (and the Nigerian military) might not have okayed such an operation if asked.
Do see the interesting thread below:
This is quite funny. Without sounding insensitive to the plight of the girls, I think these guys need to stop overdosing on their overload

Tis as simple as that? What happened when British commandos came to try and rescue TWO Europeans at Sokoto, let alone 300 Chibok girls?

And while we are at it,what would have been our military's opinion on such a rescue plan? They'd jump at it,you reckon?Laughable conjecture..
