Nigerians are at it again. And this time they are bringing it into the Lord’s house. Did anyone catch the video of the Nigerian who was caught lying after taking a detector test? Hilarious stuff. But that’s not the topic of conversation today. Mr. Femi Pope, who tweets @DrJekyll, is taking issues with those who pass off medical procedures as miracles- In the Lord’s house.
Really, is there no fear of the Lord anymore? And what is the purpose of lying in his name, any how? Do we think He is unaware of what exactly went down and how it did?
*sigh*
We feel Mr. Pope’s pain.

I have a cousin that did IVF but told people how she miraculously got pregnant after attending Holy Ghost Congress.

Amazing testimony. Years of barrenness cured after going to church.
Only family members knew about the IVF— Phineas Gage (@omoolobikan) September 27, 2016
Of course I expect replies like it was God that made the IVF successful. Why not just say that then?
Oh it won't sound so miraculous

Ironic isn't it?
That the most religious among us are the ones who don't have the fear of God.— Phineas Gage (@omoolobikan) September 27, 2016
Reason why I don't take some of these ridiculous testimonies seriously.
SS couples will adopt children and tell you God gave them AA kids— Phineas Gage (@omoolobikan) September 27, 2016
JW will legit take blood and goan testify how God revived him from the brink of death without transfusion.
These things happen a lot.— Phineas Gage (@omoolobikan) September 27, 2016
Anyone who delivers triplets after years of infertility most likely did IVF.
The multiple births give it away.— Phineas Gage (@omoolobikan) September 27, 2016
"If Paul sows and Apollo waters…"
How about you just thank God for blessing the procedure rather than misleading others?

Hospitals are replete with examples.

The contribution of religious organizations to maternal mortality in Nigeria is not small.
Child mortality too— Phineas Gage (@omoolobikan) September 27, 2016
People respond to diagnoses with "God forbid", "it is not my portion"
Some go as far as telling you it's your own children that will be sick— Phineas Gage (@omoolobikan) September 27, 2016
There is really nothing you can do when you are regaled with tales of miraculous healing.
You just know you'll be here when they come back.

I can't share stories of real patients because I'm sworn to confidentiality but these "miracles" are a big hindrance to healthcare delivery

Before you exaggerate a testimony, please consider that it can have far reaching effects than just the congregation shouting hallelujah.

If you are one of the practitioners of the art of lying in the Lord’s name, hold a meeting with yourself and caution your tongue. People of God, you know what the good book says: whatever is done in secret shall be brought to light. You don’t want your so-called testimony to be revealed as false, do you?
Sha, remember, all “liars shall go to hell”
