The Thread: Slaying in a poncho | Aisha Buhari is definitely not here to play

Nigeria’s First Lady is no push over. First she conducted an interview with the BBC, where she lamented the effect of the cabal’s apron strings on her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari then countered her criticisms with these words “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room,” in the presence of Angela Merkel, Europe’s most powerful woman, no less.

One might have thought that such a humiliation (or what some have termed putting her in her place) would have caused Aisha Buhari to tender a public apology for such a faux pas. But hell, no. All we heard from Aisha Buhari was stone cold silence, and maybe the crickets chirp.
