TICKER: Couple fly into their wedding ceremony in first ever jetpack wedding

Grant Engler and Amanda Volf each wore £63,000 Jetlev R200 water-powered jet systems to greet their guests at the ceremony in Newport Beach.

The bride’s outfit was appropriately adapted for her flying entrance; she wore white board shorts with a surfing rash vest and a white veil. The groom opted for a black wetsuit with bow tie.

The couple landed on the aisle on the beach, with the bride touching down next to her father to be given away.

After the couple had exchanged their vows, they performed their first dance in the air above the water.

“Grant and I are kind of outdoorsy, adventurous-type people,” said the bride, Amanda.

“As you can imagine, to do something like this you’d have to be.”

The jet packs were connected by a 30ft hose to a boat that feeds water to power the device.
