TICKER: Do we smell a lawsuit? Tiger Woods knocks a fan out cold with one of his shots

The Ryder Cup has begun, but not in the way the organizers hoped that it would.  A shot taken by golf great Tiger Woods flew out of bounds and whacked one of the fans in the head.  The fan was knocked out cold, to the shock of everyone watching.

Tiger was just practicing when he took the shot, but seemed to feel terrible about hitting the poor guy that way.  The drive came on the 18th hole of the Medinah Country Club in Chicago.

The man was nice about it, telling Tiger that it wasn’t his fault.  This led to Tiger laughing and saying that it actually was his fault.  Woods signed a glove for the fan and apologized to him repeatedly.  It appears that Tiger is becoming  nice guy in his old age.  Let’s just hope that he can get his game back and start winning again.
