TICKER: Electricity fault: Dana crash inquest interrupted for 3rd time

The ongoing coroner’s inquest into the cause of June 3, 2012 Dana plane crash was on Thursday adjourned due to an electrical fault at the Ikeja High Court,

It was the third time that the coroner, Alexander Komolafe, would adjourn sitting over the issue.

It was revealed that the main switch in the chamber got damaged over the weekend and affected the Air Conditioner, the amplifier and other electrical appliances in the courtroom.

On August 6, 2012, a similar fault led to the adjournment of court sitting to the following day.

Also, on Wednesday, the court adjourned sitting to Thursday, August 23, 2012 to allow electricians some time to fix the fault discovered over the weekend.

Even after about two hours’ wait outside the courtroom on Thursday, the electrical fault could not still be rectified.

Consequently, Komolafe asked the counsels to leave their phone numbers in case the court needed to get across to them urgently.

He adjourned sitting to Monday, August 27, 2012, at Court 5, Senior Magistrate Court, Abule-Egba, Lagos.
