Timi Dakolo is safe and sound … not involved in crash

by Hauwa Gambo

YNaija can authoritatively confirm that singer Timi Dakolo is safe and sound.

The singer is in Bayelsa, and attended the Okoroba burial of Pa Douglas, father of presidential aide, Oronto Douglas.

However, he was not in the crashed helicopter, as he was performing Luther Vandross’ ‘Dance with my father’ just as Governor Patrick Yakowa and General Andrew Azazi were taking off in the ill-fated helicopter.

Our correspondent on the scene can confirm that he, and his wife who arrived Port Harcourt for the burial yesterday, are well.

He is also scheduled to perform at the Rivers government’s CarniRIV festival this weekend.

  1. Thank God for his life! Though our hearts go out to the families of the deceased, nevertheless we must give thanks for the life of those who could have also been lost!
