Prince Audu’s death: Okorocha reacts to ‘untrue report’ about Tinubu

Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, has reacted to a report that he named Bola Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress National leader, as being responsible for the death of Prince Audu Abubakar.

Speaking through his media aide on Monday, Okorocha described the report as malicious and untrue.

The report was supposedly made by one Olutoyosi Omotoso under the headline: “Tinubu, others killed Kogi Guber candidate – Okorocha”.

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sam Onwuemeodo, released a statement denying the allegations made in the report posted on the Facebook account of the author.

“The attention of the Imo state Governor and the Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has been drawn to a social media (Facebook) report with the caption “Tinubu, others, kill Kogi Guber candidate – Okorocha, written by one Olutoyosi Omotoso.

“In the basically untrue report, the author claimed that the Imo Governor had accused the former Governor of Lagos state and one of the key pillars of the APC in the country, Senator Bola Tinubu and others he didn’t mention, of being responsible for the death of the APC governorship candidate in Kogi state, Prince Abubakar Audu.

“The report came up Sunday (November 22, 2016) evening and of course, few hours after the news of the death of the Kogi Prince was still in doubt by most Nigerians”.
