Today’s Noisemakers: Eric Okafor, Manasseh Egedegbe, El rufai and others

Every day, there are people who keep our eyes glued to our phone screens as we read their rants, opinions, perspectives on political and social matters, etc. Sometimes, they are even just downright ridiculous. We make it our job to take down the names of these noisemakers.

Here’s our list from today:

1 Eric Okafor

Apostle Suleman gave his members of his church some severe talking to and Eric could not believe the words that tumbled out of his mouth.

2.  Bunmi

Yesterday, information circulating in the Nigerian media space was that some soft drinks- coca Cola, Fanta and Sprite had high concentrations of benzoic acid above the internationally prescribed limit. The court actually handed down a warning to NAFDAC. NBC has come forward to say not so.

This is what Twitter Ng thinks:

3. Manasseh Egedegbe

You remember how Tolu Ogunlesi blasted middle-class Nigerians for their preoccupation with seedless grapes, foreign vacations and shopping with Mastercard, well with Coca-Cola and co being concentrated with these insane levels of benzoic acid, Manasseh reckons it’s time to patronise foreign again.

4. Feyi Fawehinmi

Yesterday, the Senate rejected Buhari’s pick for EFCC Chairman- Ibrahim Magu. Now many reckon it’s got more to do with members of the House who are in Magu’s crosshairs for corruption than the DSS report which showed he failed the ‘integrity test’.

Nigeria thinks Buhari’s house (think APC controlled legislature) is divided against itself and so will not stand. Economist and writer, Feyi thinks this below:

5. @Afrispheric

After attending to his health in London for 50 days, President Buhari returned home, looking emaciated. He stated unequivocally that he’d never been this sick in his entire life. This happened at a time when Osinbajo, who was acting in his stead as AG was being hailed for all the good work he was undertaking all over the country.

Afrispheric speculates that there’s more to Buhari’s return than meets the eye. Do see below:

About that  spat between Hameed Ali and the Senate.

7 Daddy Ibadan and others

Domestic Violence is the worst. Nigerians are preaching about it on Twitter.

Bonus

El Rufai has begun throwing darts at the cabal in power ahead of 2019. Strategic or foolish?
