‘He remains my boy, I am his father’ | Fayose reconciles with Tope Aluko (WATCH)

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose and the State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Tope Aluko, have reconciled.

Fayose and Aluko have been involved in a public spat after the latter went on national television to accuse the former of rigging the June 2014 governorship election in Ekiti state.

Aluko, apart from making damning allegations against Fayose, also claimed that former President Goodluck Jonathan released billions for Fayose to prosecute his election.

The pair met on Sunday night and addressed journalists after their closed-door meeting.

Fayose said: “If I leave him to the whole world, who will be there for him. I am his father and his brother. Aluko remains my boy, my son. Regardless of whatever he has said, it is time to move beyond that.”

Speaking right after his ‘father’, Aluko said the resolution of their differences has nothing to do with the promise of ‘political appointment’.

“There is not about position. This is about peace. This is about misunderstanding. This is about talking together”, he said.
