Jordan Costa, 21, died in a crash just one day after marrying Heather Favazza-Costa.

A new husband was killed in a horrible interstate car crash less than 24 hours after getting married.

Jordan Costa was driving with his bride, Heather Favazza-Costa, on I-77 in Jefferson Township, Ohio, on Sunday when he lost control of their 2002 Ford Escape.

The car flipped onto an embankment and rolled over several times. Costa, 21, was killed instantly. His wife, also 21, was hospitalized with minor injuries.

‘The happiest day of my life was followed by the saddest day of my life,’ Favazza-Costa said.

The couple, from Wayne, had said their vows in Canton Township in Michigan on Saturday.

They were on their way to Myrtle Beach, S.C., for their honeymoon.

“It’s definitely the hardest part to know that the happiest day of my life was followed by the saddest day of my life,” Favazza-Costa said.

Costa, a youth program leader at Connection Church, was married for only one day.

Tributes have been paid to her deceased partner, a youth program leader at Connection Church.

Pastor Rocky Barra, who officiated the wedding, said: “Jordan Costa has been a huge part of our youth ministry.”

“Our heart is broken for Heather, and the entire Favazza family,” he added.

Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, but told Click on Detroit that no other vehicles were involved.
