According to reports, a 3-storey building along Area 10, Garki, Abuja has been razed by heavy fire.

The building which houses the district Union Bank of Nigeria on the second floor opposite the Cyprian Ekwensi house known as the ‘Art and Culture Centre’ got engulfed by fire on Wednesday evening causing panic.

According to SaharaReporters, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

A security guard who works in the building, however, told SaharaReporters that “A spark of fire from the second floor could have resulted in the heavy inferno.”

The federal fire service, Nigerian Airforce Fire Service, the FCT Fire Service and Julius Berger Fire Service reportedly responded to the distress call.
