Turning point: Former gay satanic drag queen turns to Christ, receives death threats (PICTURED)

Trace McNutt, a former self professed “Satanic drag queen,” is about to be honored this month with an award from the Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX) because of his dramatic change in lifestyle to a life now dedicated to Christ.  The first ever annual Courage Award for Former Homosexuals will be given to McNutt on September 30 by PFOX as part of their 2013 Ex-Gay Awareness Dinner and Reception.

McNutt said that he grew up with an overpowering mother and a father who wasn’t interested in him. He went on to say that for most of his adolescent life, he was rejected by everyone and beaten up at school on a regular basis.  His abuse became so ferocious at one time that he had to be escorted to his classes by the dean of his junior high school, states McNutt in an online video of his testimony. He adds that he was getting beaten every day at school.

When he left high school, McNutt started to become obsessed with the gay community, in particular the attention that drag queens received. He decided that if he became a drag queen, he would be accepted by the world and it would change his life.

However, McNutt decided to go even further than to just be another drag queen, he decided to be a satanic version of a drag queen. McNutt took on the name of “Coma” and began his new life. It wasn’t long, however, that he found himself entrenched in the world of drugs and his life began to spiral downhill.

McNutt says that one day he found himself out on the streets of Tampa with no car, no job and nowhere to live. On top of that he soon discovered that he had the HIV virus.  A Christian acquaintance of McNutt invited him to a Christian seminar about homosexuality, and when he attended, he found that the speaker was talking sense. McNutt then started to attend church services and his eyes were opened to his sin.

McNutt goes on to say that he threw away his old lifestyle with all his makeup and drag queen clothes and walked away from the gay community.  However, the homosexual community didn’t like it when he stopped performing as a drag queen, according to McNutt. He adds that he received hate mail and death threats from them. One guy even told him that he would put a bullet in his head because he had betrayed his people, said McNutt.

Christopher Doyle, Co-Founder and President of Voice of the Voiceless (VoV) said that “When gays come out of the closet they are welcomed, but former homosexuals are forced to remain hidden because of defamation by anti-ex-gay extremists and marginalization from American society.” He continued “It takes a lot of courage for ex-gays such as Trace McNutt to tell their stories, especially considering that doing so brings scorn and punishment…”

Since he turned over his life to Jesus Christ, McNutt testifies that the HIV virus has left his body and doctors can no longer find a trace of it.
