Two Nigerians were on Thursday arrested in Thailand for being in possession of 500 grams of crystal methamphetamine, also known as ‘Ice,’ valued at an estimated $33,300 in eastern Bangkok’s Ramkhamhaeng area.

According to the country’s narcotics suppression police, the two men, Ahamefule Cosmos and Iriegbe Chinonso, were detained at a convenience store near Ramkhamhaeng Soi 24.

Further investigation into their activities led to a search of their apartments which uncovered 28 packages of crystal meth, weighing in total 500 grams.

Both men are suspected to be part of a sophisticated drug syndicate operating in the Asian country.

According to reports, this arrest followed the arrest of Thai national Polsingha Putthasri, who held 100 grams of ‘ice,’ saying he bought the illegal drug from a Nigerian drug syndicate.

The two Nigerians have been charged for being in possession of illicit drugs for sale.
