Unveiling Africa presents the ‘Teen, Media and Social Change’ youth conference

To celebrate the Independence Day, the Unveiling Africa Foundation will be hosting teenagers at its 2nd Annual Teenagers’ Conference. According to a press statement from the organisers, the conference which is themed Teens, Media & Social Change is scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2011 at ST&T Regency, Ikeja G.R.A., Lagos State.

“This event will be an inspiring swagger full Independence Day event aimed at engaging teenagers on their role in Nation Building,” the statement reads. “There will be over 15 interactive sessions on personal development presented by role model Nigerians and innovative presentations on how media & technology can be maximized for social change. Teens will be privy to mentorship sessions with role model Nigerians and a mini skills acquisition fair is also scheduled fair.”

Lined up to speak at the conference are Chude Jideonwo, Creative Director, The Future Awards; Nmachi Jidenma, Publisher, CP – Africa; Wana Udoabang On-Air-Personality, Inspiration FM; and Genevieve Magazine columnist, Iyabo Ladipo amongst other.

The conference will also serve as the official luncheon for the Magazine of choice for teenagers – Pacesetters with Mrs. Adesuwa Onyenokwe of TW Magazine as the Chief Launcher.
